Patience Is Not Waiting But Trusting Allah’s Plan

People talk about mental Fortitude For being able to deal with trials. You can learn a lot From Islam about the mentality of being a powerful man with an iron resolve.

1- Accept that there is suffering.

Allah said: “And We will surely test you with something of Fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and Fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,

Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”” (2:155-156)

2- Expect that, of course, there will be trials.

Allah said: “Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried?

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.” (29:2-3)

3- Don’t drown in sorrow over things you cannot control.

Allah said: “And if their evasion is difficult For you, then if you can seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so].

But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant." (6:35)
