Don’t Depend Too Much On Anyone In This World — Because Even Your Own Shadow Leaves You When You Are In Darkness:
Trust in Allah and taking the means are not opposing things. When we say we Trust in Allah, meaning that we depend only on Allah(swt) in an absolute sense.
But along with depending upon Allah in an absolute sense, Allah(swt) has created us in a world of means — Taking the means is necessary,y and denying that the… means… have intrinsic efficacy is necessary.
When it comes to relying upon Allah, that is not contradicted by the taking of means.There’s means that are necessary to take and Allah has granted us in this life what’s called “Facilitative means”, and these are a mercy.
And of the most important means of mercy is al-Jama’ah, the group, the community. And there are circles of Facilitative mercy.
"Don’t depend too much on anyone in this world because even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness".(Ibn Taymiyyah)
The Prophet(saw) said:"The one who maintains ties is not the one who reciprocates [that if someone invites you then you invite them… that is not maintaining ties]…rather, the one who keeps maintaining the ties, even if the other party cuts them off.”
So, the point is that — a person should use means while doing everything but should have Faith only in his Lord. Because the real doer is Allah(swt) and He is sufficient For man.
May Allah(swt) make us to have complete Faith in our Lord only in this world and in the Hereafter.(Ameen).
