Arrogance Leads To Belief In One's Own Superiority Over Other Groups:

The Qur'an mentions two qualities extensively that destroy a believer's imaan (Faith) and should be avoided:

(1) Arrogance

(2) Pride

Arrogance leads to believing in a person's superiority over other groups or, in extreme situations, believing in one's ability over Allah (nauzubillah). This was the case For Firawn and various other dictators and oppressors.

Pride comes From taking responsibility For a personal quality or action, giving one an inflated sense of self.

This was the case For Iblis, who believed he was better than Adam (A.S) as he was made From Fire, whereas Adam came From clay. With pride, the root cause is often neglecting the Fact that everything that happens is because Allah (swt) had willed it to happen. It's not due to one's superior intuition or ability.

It is easy For man to become arrogant about his position — He can send a man to the moon and create atom bombs that can vaporise other men in an instance. Yet despite all his material progress he stands unable to stop a Fire, hurricane, earthquake, tsunami, even a Flood in the least.

As For ’Aad, they acted arrogantly throughout the land with no right, boasting: “Who is superior to us in might?” Did they not
